Jesus gave the purpose of the church in Matthew 28:19-20, and that is to make disciples of all nations and see them mature into Christ-likeness. We want every church member to grow in the likeness of their Savior. A disciple is a maturing believer in Jesus Christ who loves God and loves others. As we grow in the likeness of Christ, we develop into disciples who make disciples. Put another way, as we mature, we should also be helping others to mature in Christ.

We are in friendly cooperation with the general Southern Baptist enterprise of reaching the world for Christ. The Southern Baptist Covention has a prepared statement of generally held convictions called The Baptist Faith and Message. It serves as a guide to understanding what we believe and affirm as a church.
